Hey Versus friendlies!! Do not fret...do not cry Versus will never die!! Well maybe closing shop but only because we feel individually we got more to offer elswhere. Can't wait to see the new steez the boyz come up with. In other news I myself have moved on to another spot. Schitzpopinov is a blog yes. Its also a way of life. If somethings going wrong....shitzpopinov. If something is top notch and going crazy...schitzpopinov. If your butt is about to explode...schitzpopinov. The Last Versus 90's Friday

Ive got mixed feelings on this post as after over a year of Versus 90's posts this is going to be the last one ever!

The good news is that we will be continuing it at our new blog so stay tuned as we got something special under wraps.

Dj Mike B of Banana Split fame has a great blog that I wanted to let you know about. He has been posting vinyl rips from more obscure 90's tracks from his collection which is where I got this one, a Hotel California / Pass The Dutchie jungle remix.

Ive been meaning to post some Freestyle Fellowship for a while. Comprised of group members Aceyalone, Mikah 9, P.E.A.C.E., and Self Jupiter, their 93' album, "Inner City Griots" has been listed as one of the top hip hot albums ever made. They never attained widespread recognition and after the incarceration of self Jupiter following "Inner City Griots" the group broke up. They continue to be discovered by new hip hop fans at a pretty significant rate and have been back together releasing albums. This is from their first album "To Whom It May Concern" (1991) which was originally released on a limited run of only 300 vinyl and 500 tapes.

Freestyle Fellowship - Sunshine Men

Two Real McCoy tracks here. I havn't been able to determine exactly where this first one is from although I know that it's on the album "Mega Dance Into The 90's" that I picked up. Im pretty sure its pre "Another Night" as it has that ernest ghetto sound to it, as if it was made with a cheap four track recorder which i'm a sucker for.
